Its name means small village of the moon forest and it is called like this due to the people of Tartessos, who in the 10th century already, considered the olive tree as a sacred tree. This oil is produced in a limited quantity with arbequina olives collected during the first days of the harvest from the property Hacienda Merrha de la Campiña de los Alcores, located in Carmona, in the province of Seville. This region of limestone soils and mild temperatures was considered the best oil production region since the times of the Romans and the olive oil produced from olive trees that could be made out from the Tower of La Giralda (in Seville) was therefore considered the best oil. Already at those times, they used to make the difference between the different qualities, since the one produced of the first olives harvested was the most appreciated. This is a designer Single Estate oil.
Tasting report
Very balanced medium fruity reminiscent of green fruit, apples, tomatoes, almonds and freshly cut grass. It has persistent notes of apples and vanilla. In the mouth, it is sweet and its notes of fresh fruit salad become increasingly intense, with a nearly absent bitter flavour and a very light and nice piquant touch, with a very low persistence, which leaves aromas of nuts.
