Oil produced in the property Cortijo De Peñillas Altas, in the municipality of Baena, Córdoba, according to the family tradition of the brothers Casado de Prado, which is dated of the beginning of the 19th century. It is made of the varieties picual, hojiblanca and picuda from hundred-year-old olive trees, most of which are three-trunk trees, alternating the different varieties without following any established order. The fruit of this olive groves bathed by the local Mediterranean climate are harvested from 15 November to 15 December and transported with a great care for its daily grind. This oil undergoes a completely craft production. Olives are crushed with conical stones and the oil is bottled unfiltered.
Tasting report
Golden colour and aromas reminiscent of fresh and good fruits harvested at their optimal ripeness. It has a nice sweet and slightly bitter and piquant flavour.
